Phoenix ranked 13th in the U.S. for the best job market for recent college graduates in 2017. The western United States is home to eight of the top 20 metros with the best job markets, making it the No. 1 region to land a job.
The rankings were based on the overall availability of entry-level college jobs, the unemployment rate and the median rent for an apartment in each metro. Phoenix had the fourth lowest median rent in the nation at $1,300 per month, making the Valley an affordable option for new college grads.
Finance and Insurance was the top industry for entry-level jobs in Phoenix, with Staff Accountant as the most in demand position.
